I do love traveling alone, though, which is weird. I think everyone should test themselves and try it. You just never know what you're going to get into. My parents freak out about it, because they're afraid I'll wander into a ditch or something, I guess...My mother has now called me, thanks to the "wonders" of cell phones, as I was driving around a beauteous curve on an Arizona mountain highway, and contemplating the waves in the Gulf of Mexico. Of course I'm the one with the phone! (I do believe in having an escape hatch or two...)
