Andy Gibb was the first musician that I ever had a crush on. I was seven years old when "Shadow Dancing" was released, and my mom and I went to one of his concerts. When he died entirely too young in 1988, I was so sad, in that way one can get sad only over a life that ends too young. I'm a not-so-closeted Bee Gee's fan too (Want to hate on the Brothers Gibb? Check out the MILLIONS SOLD, 'kay? AND you want an overwrought vocal solo in my car? "Too Much Heaven", baby. Queue it up. ; ) ) I heard "I Just Want to Be Your Everything" in the car today, and Barry Gibb can write a significantly catchy pop song, as well as a very sweet love song. This one qualifies on both counts.
