These shoes, which I'll mostly have to put away now that it's getting colder, but I've managed to squeak out a few more opportunities to wear them since I got them at a ridiculously low price.
Taking pictures like this, although there are plenty.
And...
*my guitar teacher Phil, who is a performing classical guitarist who also plays in this band, which I didn't know when I signed up. Given my love for regional roots music, this is really good stuff. He knows a lot of the groups I listen to and has actually played at some of the shows I've been to, unbeknownst to me. He's also really nice and clearly very talented - and patient, which is key in this circumstance.
*pumpkin spice lattes and my newly remodeled local Starbucks. Since I don't live in Austin, land of the funky, awesome, locally-owned coffee shop, I'm kind of stuck unless I drive to Annapolis (twice) or Frederick.
*The Raconteurs cd as a whole (although "Together" and "Level" are in particularly heavy rotation), and a few songs in particular on the new Barenaked Ladies cd ("Sound of Your Voice" is my favorite but I think it's wavering.)
*and that's probably everything worth mentioning for the moment. It's definitely a "hanging in there" moment in time...the meantime, maybe? Stay tuned.

You had me at "pumpkin spice latte."
