I liveblogged the closing keynote at Blogher Business today. Talk about multitasking, what with the listening and the typing and the editing all at once. It's like creative court reporting, and I'm just obsessive-compulsive enough to really get a rush from it. I just got home and re-read the post, alarmed to note after four hours in the car that I hadn't proofread as well on the fly as I'd been congratulating myself for before I left NYC. Hubris'll getcha every time. Every. Time.
I really enjoyed this panel in particular. First of all, I am so impressed with Caroline Little, aka Power Washingtonpost.com woman. She is so well-spoken and makes so much sense. I just love being around people who I think I can learn so much from - even if it's just how to carry yourself, and the energy you project. The other ladies on the panel - Marissa Mayer from Google, Debi Fine from iVillage, and Stacy Morrison from Redbook, were interesting as well. It's so weird to see media transforming so extensively and so rapidly in front of our eyes. What I've taken away from both SXSW and Blogher is that you definitely can't sit around and wait to be invited. You just have to show up, and the chances are quite good that someone will listen at some point.

Glad you showed up. It was great to meet you and hang whicha in the city.

I couldn't agree more - I was so impressed with Caroline Little that while normally I'd have made an effort to say hi to her, I just couldn't even think of a way in. I just sort of stood back and beamed at her from the sidelines like a gawking fan.
Thank you for the incredibly (really) kind comment at my place today. If I could have found an email address I'd have responded to you in person. See you in Chicago!
