Sunday

"Sunday is Earth Day. So suck it, Neptune."  So said Amy Poehler on Weekend Update tonight on SNL. I laughed.

This pet food recall is getting nuts. Now the same crap - melamine, which is a toxic compound used in making plastic utensils, hello!!!! - has made it into some pig feed out in California. As in, pigs that would then be bacon, which you may or may not eat. I've got a ton of information rounded up here.  I'm glad we feed my dog turkey and rice on a daily basis, because none of these foods seem entirely safe at this point. The recalls are so random.

My head is pounding and I need to go to sleep, although I got up terribly late today and had no impulse to do anything more productive than rack up two episodes of "Little People, Big World." I think it's my brain pounding on my skull, screaming, "Shut me off!!!! I'm tired!!!!!" I really am.
