On Saturday, July 19, I'll be pretending like I'm not a complete and total nervous wreck, speaking on a panel at BlogHer in San Francisco. So far, Teri Tith is the other person I know of who will also be speaking.
The panel is about blogging "childfree", which is a really complicated topic for me, but an important one that I'm happy to speak about from my perspective. Anyone who's been around here for a while probably knows that I don't have kids, and although the description on the site speaks to contentment with that life circumstance, that's not exactly my situation.
I wrote about it a little bit here.
I'm really honored to be on the agenda at this conference. I've done a lot of speaking in my nonprofit and education careers, but I've never spoken at a media conference before. I appreciate them including me. It'll be totally worth the anxiety.
Congratulations!!!

I'm sorry I'm going to miss it. I'll be following it online though (at least I hope).
Sigh. Some day I'm going to freaking make it to BlogHer.

That's so cool that your idea got approved! I can't wait to check it out. :)

Sassymonkey, you had better get your butt to one of these things. I need to meet you in person, lady.
And Zan, I'll need your help not freaking out before I do this, I'm sure. : ) And I've not forgotten about our hope to hang out. I'm swamped through finals but after that I'm seeing that tattoo in person. : )
