I mean, it's a different of power than Public Enemy was talking about but I'm takin some liberties there.
A high school friend contacted me today and said she had an extra ticket, so here I am, posting from Lisner Auditorium so as not to fail NaBloPoMo because I'm just that dedicated (I.e. and also, controlling what I can at the moment, which as we all know is next to nothing.) Also this is now appearing like the longest text message in the world so I'll stop. But I will give apologies for fussing about Typepad because this mobile interface rocks, and say that sometimes, my loves, we just need to live our damned lives and as for the rest of it, all the garbage? (Because I had to contend with some garbage today, again.) And the expectations? And etcetera? Just, you know, fuck it.
Because on that random day you'll find yourself in the auditorium of an overpriced private university in DC with a dying iPhone battery and Chuck D in the building, and a PG County dude will hand you a double-shot rum & Coke and the guy next to you in the bar line will be wearing a Yo MTV Raps t-shirt and your friend'll be all "fight the power!"
And you won't even mind that there's a documentary before the show.
