I love Suebob; she's the best! (And so are you, Laurie.)
I'd like to donate in honor of her birthday.

I've loved Sue since I started blogging. She was the second person I met at Blogher 06. I could go on and on but you've pretty much said it all so I'll just say Sue rocks my socks...always has.

Totally excited to see you in FOUR WEEKS!

Thanks for "introducing" me to Suebob. I've been to every BlogHer conference and the thing I always have to "brace" myself for is the onslaught of the mom/kids questions (I am childfree). It's really wonderful to know about you and Suebob.

Also a fan of Sue, and the organizations she supports, and this lovely, lovely birthday gift. I'd love to pitch in.

If I had absolutely any idea whatsoever how to +1 something (are we doing this now? yet?) I would +1 this post and you and SueBob till the cows come home.

I do love me some Suebob. She's lovely and funny and one of the kindest people I know.

This is the best birthday ever. Thank you and Karen for pulling all this loveliness together. I'm so glad I got to hear nice things about myself without having to attend my own funeral. It is odd and great all at the same time.

I just love that pic of you, me, Suzanne and Sarah. The one of me with a wrinkly neck? Not so much. I think about 10 minutes of photoshop would do it a world of good. And thank you for reminding me of the Yoko thing again. Always makes me LOL.

I'm so glad I met you and so glad I keep meeting you. You make my life better in so many ways. Smooches.

I'm in a frenzy to read everyone's post about Suebob (can you imagine how SHE is feeling about that?!? Um, overwhelm much?) and this is just top notch, right up there, excellent writing that nails her. (I would say "staples her" but it's not the same)

So good. SUCH truth. I loved this.

I love this post and now I understand a little more about why I kept gravitating toward you guys at CA10. I, too, feel both inspired and humbled by people who listen well and choose words with economy. I love how you described the urgency of choosing who we spend time with at conferences--it is like the most impossible buffet.

Anyway, I've said it several times before-- I admire and am fond of you both.

Happy birthday Suebob!

I too am a fan of Suebob (happy belated birthday!) I totally related to that question about how you spend your time -- and your answer -- and was heartened to hear Suebob's. During the year I took off from working and before the Beaner was born, people used to ask me what I did all day. I usually came up with the list you did, but after doing this a few times, I started saying, "the same thing you do all day, only not at work." This invariably made the questioner think, "what *do* I do all day?" :-) I wasn't bored -- in fact, I was almost always busy -- but did it really matter to anyone except myself how I spent each minute? I thought not. And I loved that year, by the way.
